Slip into the shoes of a Parisian

Experience the addresses that a good friend on the other side of the world could have given you. Renowned addresses, not at all well known! Let’s set off on a 100% Parisian itinerary, a world away from the tourist guides.

« La trésorerie » hardware store

Somewhere between a chic hardware store and a deco store, this address in eastern Paris, close to Place de la République, is ideal for strolling among beautiful everyday objects.

So if for you, “beauty” can be hidden everywhere, even in a soup spoon or hairbrush, if you can marvel at a pretty handmade butter dish or a salad bowl with Andalusian decorations, this is definitely the address for you.

“Soprano”, the good Italian bistro

Looking for an authentic Italian restaurant? Escape the “tourist trap” with the waiter teasing you at the entrance?

Head to the north-west of Paris, for an unpretentious Italian bistro with prices as sweet as tiramisu! Antipasti, pasta and pizza: all homemade, in good portions and priced between €9 and €11.  We recommend the “Pasta al ragù”, the house specialty with garlic.

If the neighborhood isn’t the most beautiful and chic in Paris, we’ll give you that, the cuisine eclipses the “untouched” décor (which is also the spirit of the boui-boui) of this 100% authentic address.

The bookshop café at Halle Saint-Pierre

Do you love the gentleness of Montmartre? Its incomparable charm and narrow streets straight out of a movie? If you’re looking for a little coffee in the neighborhood, in a place less crowded than the Place du Tertre, head for the Halle Saint-Pierre, at the foot of the hill, in the shadow of the Sacré-Coeur.

In this former covered market, renovated almost 25 years ago, the Halle Saint-Pierre now hosts a variety of temporary exhibitions, as well as an attractive bookshop and café. What a pleasure to stroll around and enjoy a cup of tea with a view over the district!

« Divvino » Wine Shop

In a charming stall in the heart of the vibrant Charonne district, come and discover “wines that have the guts of the place where they were born and the guts of those who made them”.

Here, the wines are all from sustainable, organic or natural agriculture. And if you’d like to test your French, our passionate (and fascinating) wine merchant will be delighted to chat with you about his finds!

The « Landline » drugstore

Another great place to bring back a souvenir from your next trip to Paris! Halfway between a chic drugstore, a bazaar and a stationery shop, “LANDLINE” is the “like it used to be” address that instantly makes you want to buy everything.

Come and rummage through objects for the home, handmade crockery, garden tools, soft plaids, handcrafted beauty products… In short, a mine of utilitarian, durable and stylish objects!
