The Benches of the Palais-Royal’s Garden
This is the perfect spot for a poetic picture.
A soft breeze of poetry has been noted in the Palais-Royal’s Garden over the last few years. Along allée Collette and allée Jean Cocteau, you can find “poetry benches” scattered around the Palais-Royal’s Garden, which was often by the two artists.
The wood of the benches is engraved with the beautiful phrases of not only Collette and Jean Cocteau, but also Tristan Tzara and Stéphane Mallarmé, in invitation for visitors and dreamers alike to walk amongst the poets.
