News and Hobbies
Opera - Louvre district, Paris

Where to eat around the hotel?

Looking for a good place to eat in the neighborhood? We know it like the back of our hand!

With its Balzacian-style covered passageways, streets brimming with Asian addresses and grand Haussmannian avenues, the hotel district is teeming with culinary nuggets.
In this urban melting pot of fashionistas, strolling tourists and hungry employees, there’s no shortage of restaurants of all kinds!

Follow us into this little slice of Paris, straddling the 2nd and 9th arrondissements, to devour lunch or dinner.

Le petit Vendôme: authenticity without the fuss

Would you like to have lunch in a franchouillarde and popular atmosphere? For purists in search of authenticity, head to Le Petit Vendôme, a 5-minute walk from the hotel. This embassy of terroir, checkered tablecloths and Formica tables serves ham on the bone, Fourme d’Ambert cheese, onion soup, Burgundy snails and old-fashioned sandwiches for a ridiculously low price!

Its success is well known, and queues often form outside their doors at lunchtime!

Public House: chic à l’Anglaise

A complete change of atmosphere (and budget) as we enter the very British Pub world of the “Public House”.

Tartans, bistro chairs, tiles, wood panelling: this setting, a cross between London and Paris, is spread over three floors, with a superb winter garden on the 1st floor.

Beef pies, fish & chips, pudding… the dishes are comforting and remind us that our English friends also know how to eat very well.

In terms of distance, you’re only 4 minutes by foot from the hotel!

Miam Miam Cool: the pocket address for regulars

This stamp-sized boui-boui, just two pedal strokes from the department stores, has nothing to envy its competitors on Rue Sainte-Anne.
There are three tables where you are seated, bowl by bowl, to devour small soups based on noodles, vermicelli and ravioli. Beware, the level of spices chosen can quickly sting.

You’ll come away with a runny nose and watery eyes, but it’s so good! (Special mention for their delicious homemade ravioli, not to be missed).

Le volnay: the French bistro

This is undoubtedly one of the best bistros in Paris: the Volnay, close to the superb Place Vendôme, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Here you can enjoy traditional French dishes, brilliantly modernized by the chef, who can be seen busily at work in the kitchen.

Velouté d’asperges, duck, sweetbreads, scallops… all seasonal products from the daily market. When it comes to wine, the menu has selected only the great names of Burgundy, so you can’t go wrong! The large mirrors, the geometric brass bas-reliefs and the 1930s-style chiselled counter plunge you into an Art-Deco atmosphere.

In short, a French-style meal just the way we like it!

Faggio Panoramas: a little piece of Italy

If you’re not sure, the smell of the wood-fired oven from the street will convince you!

Welcome to Faggio, in the very Parisian Passage des Panoramas. Here you’ll find Neapolitan-style pizzas made from meticulously selected ingredients.
Choose (with difficulty) from their most iconic recipes: Margherita, Calzone, Buffalina… to the most experimental creations based on speck, sausage, gorgonzola or endives…

Sprinkle it all with a little natural wine… and you’ve got the perfect breakfast right in your hands!
