Summer is approaching in Paris: Our good places to enjoy the sun

The days are getting longer, Parisians are crowding the terraces, and the warm, low-angled light is caressing the city at the end of the day.
There’s no doubt about it, spring is on its way in Paris.
Put on your sunglasses and discover our little pleasures that smell of spring!

Relax on the terrace

When the fine weather returns, Parisians are busy on the city’s sidewalks, glasses on the tip of their noses, gazing up at the sky.
It’s so good to be back in the spring sunshine! Visiting Paris at this time of year will give you the opportunity to enjoy this simple pleasure over a coffee or lunch.
From the banks of the Seine to hidden courtyards and museum gardens, they’re the perfect place to take a break.
If we had to recommend just one address not far from the hotel, we’d suggest lunch on the terrace of Chez Loulou, between the Louvre pyramid and Place de la Concorde, offering a panorama that couldn’t be more Parisian. Right in the middle of the Tuileries Gardens, designed by Le Notre, the restaurant at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs boasts a cleverly Italian menu.
What’s on the menu? Summer truffle pizza, gambero rosso carpaccio with Sicilian orange, spaghetti with raw tuna and lemon… all washed down with a Spritz, of course!

Ice cream on Île St Louis

On Ile Saint Louis, the historic Berthillon ice cream parlour, undisputed master for 60 years, reigns over Paris with its list of artisanal ice creams as long as the Seine.
Marron glacé, blackcurrant, mango, basil-roasted pineapple… there’s no shortage of flavors!
Our favorite: the wild strawberry sorbet, to be enjoyed without closing your eyes, as the surrounding landscape is also well worth the detour.

Stroll through the gardens of the Château de Versailles

Louis XIV made Versailles the work of his reign, transforming his father’s hunting lodge into one of the most majestic palaces in Europe, but also transforming the modest gardens that surrounded it at the time. Entrusted to the hands of gardener André Le Nôtre (him again!), parterres and bosquets, statues and fountains took shape to make the gardens of Versailles a work of art in their own right.
Considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world, the royal gardens of Versailles shine particularly brightly in spring.
They are home to no fewer than 400 statues, making them the largest open-air sculpture museum in the world!
Our favorite part of the visit: the Orangerie, where lemon trees, oleanders, palms and pomegranates tickle our nostrils.
